Each Fall since 1989, 140 or so local and regional golfers participate in the Rotary of the Capital City Golf Classic orchestrated at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, a Platinum Club of America-rated facility, to raise over $30,000, and nearly $400,000 to date.

The proceeds benefit our Styres Scholarship Fund, which directly supports Wake County students at the post-secondary level, and benefit our many Community Projects.

Established in 2000 by our club, the Styres Scholarship Fund grants four-year college scholarships to deserving Wake County public high school graduates who have demonstrated need and overcome obstacles, to achieve their fullest potential through higher education.

The Styres Scholarship Fund is named in memory of Robert N. Styres, a member of our club who exemplified the ideals of Rotary throughout his life and was dedicated to serving our community.

There are several ways you can support this year’s Rotary Club of the Capital City Golf Classic.

  • Become a tournament sponsor at the Bronze, Silver, or Gold level.

  • Donate an item to be awarded in the raffle held during the tournament.

  • Donate a prize to be presented to one of the winning teams.

  • Make a cash donation in support of Rotary causes.

All donations should be made to the Rotary Club of the Capital City Foundation, which is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN: 58-1634198).  All donations will be acknowledged and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law.  Please consult your tax advisor to determine the deductibility of your contribution.

Please complete the Sponsorship Levels and Team Information forms as appropriate and email Golf Tournament Chair Judi Tarleton (judith.livernois@yahoo.com) as soon as possible, but no later than September 11, 2023.  Participating teams of tournament sponsors will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis up to a maximum of 36 teams.

We are grateful for your participation, and we look forward to seeing you in September for a fun-filled event!  If you have any questions, please email Judi.
