Net Zero Carbon Emissions

Updated: Mar 22, 2023

March 21, 2023 -- The Rotary Club of the Capital City was delighted to hear from Jon Sanders, Research Editor of the John Locke Foundation, about plans under consideration by the State of North Carolina to encourage power generation diversification amongst coal, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, solar, and wind, with the goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Unfortunately, over the same period other nations have greatly increased their carbon emissions, and China has committed to bring online large numbers of new coal-fueled power plants.
